i just thought I’d pop in and let you guys know whats been happening in my off season.. its been a while.
My off-season started with quite an ugly predicament when I managed to tare my meniscus in my knee which luckily only had me out for 2 months. during that time I gradually went crazy watching the weather slowly come to a nippy average of about 12 degrees Celsius every day while not being able to Wakeboard in the last days of summer.
anyways.. once this minor set back period was finally done, i got a phone call from Shaun Faccio asking if i was keen to go to warm Durban for a week to get some riding in. i was only too happy to oblige and a week later we were sitting at the Boardalign Wakeboard School at the Umtamvuna River Lodge (check it here http://boardalign.co.za) riding with kevin dry (one of the world’s best Wakeboard coaches) in just short wetsuits! it was great fun, but before i knew it, time there was up. and just as i was getting into it!

ah well.. a week after i had got back i was savagely and unmercifully attack by the paramyxovirus or more commonly named, the measles which had me sitting in bed and out of school for 2 whole weeks. I could swear that in these exact two weeks cape town experienced summer conditions without a breath of wind. i was quite pissed off to say the least!

after the recovery time from the measles was finally done i got back into my routine of riding. only to now realize that the ballast in our boat wasn’t working. (by this stage i was frothing at the mouth)
but anyways!! one week later here i am back and riding with a lil photo to prove it!
I am so stoked on summer and what its got in store for me!
hope to see you guys out on the Water!!!
